We are having a dog party and I need game ideas for the dogs.?

Our party theme is a "lu-howl", (luau). There are yorkies so the games need to go with the size of the dog. Any suggestions would be great!

Thanks a bunch!

I Spy - Leader calls out dog body parts and owner touches it. (This is good for the owners to become knowlagable about body parts. Good for the dogs as it allows them to get used to being handled.)

Simon Says - Leader calls out cmmand for the dog to do(sit, down, stay, walk, jog, ect.) beginning w/"Simon Says". THe dog owners/ handlers have the dog to the command. If the dog handler doe it and leader did not say"Simon Says", they are out of the game.

Tic Tac Toe - Create a large Tic-Tac-Toe grid. (Must be large enough for dog to lie down in.) Teams selected w/O's lining up on one side of grid and X's on the opposite grid. Each turn, a team member goes to a square and places their dogin a sit/rest facing their team. First team to get a line of three pups (vertical, horizontal, diagonal) wins. If a dog breaks position, they lose that turn and must move
off the board. Each team can wear a colored bandana or "O" team can use hula-hoops.

Are you serious? Wow- I have never heard of this, but your theme idea is really cute!! …I can’t even imagine that you could get a dog to actually play a party game, but if you can do it- kudos to you!

Maybe cat, cat, dog (instead of duck, duck, goose) or a fetching competition with 2 teams- each dog has to fetch and bring something back before the next dog can go???? I dunno- good luck!

You could set up a small obstacle course for them. Use those tunnels kids used to play in, some PVC poles that they could run back and forth through, a wading pool filled with sand, etc.. You could time them or set up two courses and let them race. Good luck with the party!

How about make a cake edible for dogs with bones/biscuits and other edible doggie food. Each of the human guests and you could walk your dogs along a trail and play together at the dog park. You gould get a dog sized shirts for the yorkie guests andhave their owners make sayings to put on it with marker or put their name/nickname on each shirt. You should give the pups little pup party favors afterwards and have fun:)

That’s ausom!!!!!
Ummm, maybe set up a small kiddie pool and let them get wet in it?
-Spread out squishy balls and let the dogs fetch them—- first dog to collect the most balls win!
-Dress-a-dog; see which owner can dress their dog the quickest— you can get dog clothes at Petco or Target.
-Food eating contest; see which dog can eat the most food. Pick something like chopped up hamburger/some kind of meat.

Good luck and have fun!

Ok at first I thought, What? But I thought for a minute and it might be the cooloest thing ever. Ive got a Pit as do my circle. All great with people but maybe not so much each other. The only suggestion I would give is no competitive games to where dominance would be shown by any of them. At the bottom line an APBT isnt much different than a yorkie. I just wanna see any dog get hurt. LOL on the cat-cat-dog thing. Id say just let them romp and be dogs, itll prolly end up that way anyhow. Good luck on the party.
