Want to please your child on his or her special day? Why not give him or her a Scooby - Doo cake on his or her party?. A Scooby-Doo themed cake is cute and adorable. This kind of cake is loved by many kids and adults as well. It's perfect for birthdays and also for Halloween party because we all know that the Scooby Show are scary and funny.  

Here are the things that you must have in order to decorate a beautiful Scooby-Doo cake:

Materials:
Fudge frosting or Chocolate frosting (The color of Scooby-Doo is brown so chocolate frosting is more preferred)
Cream of marshmallow
Fruit roll-ups
Skewers
Fondant decorating icing
Chocolate licorice/ chocolate twisters
Scooby-Doo action figure or a photo of it that can be printed from the web

Instructions:
Bake a cake. Let it cool before adding the frosting.

This will allow you to spread the marshmallow cream without damaging the cake.

Apply a thick layer or marshmallow cream and put it between the two layers of cake. Put back the top part of the cake and then frost the entire cake with fudge frosting or chocolate on top and side.

Make the cake attractive by using decorating stuffs like cake decorating flowers. Scooby-Doo's friends are ghost hunters, so you can certainly use this concept in addition to spooky ornaments like ghost and dead trees.

Use a sharp knife or scissors to cut the chocolate twisters. You can create designs like the trees and bushes. Customize the cake by cutting several sizes of ornaments and designs.

Use the fudge frosting to glue the trees. Put the fudge at the bottom for stability. Use some skewers to help you. Let the frosting to dry for about an hour or so.  

Cut out shapes and designs of different sizes and attach it to the fondant decorating frosting. Fondant is ideal to use because you can roll and cut fondant easily.

Remember to add the greeting or lettering.Use bright colored frosting. This will certainly attract attention. Yellow colored frosting should be perfect in this particular cake theme.

You can now put the Scooby-Doo action figure on the cake. If you don't have the action figure, or better yet, utilize the picture that you have printed.Just put a cardboard at the back of the picture. Use the skewers to make it stand.

Helpful tips:
Print many Scooby-Doo pictures to add variation. Also search for Halloween cakes. This will inspire you in decorating the birthday cake for your beloved son or daughter.
