When I was a little girl, every Wednesday afternoon, I watched the animated series Scooby-Doo on television and it is a great idea to theme your pet's birthday around scooby doo. Get some great scooby doo party supplies to give the party a great atmosphere.

At the end of each episode, Velma reveals the explanation of these strange cases; which, finally, are simple scams involving one or several local citizens.
One of the most sympathetic characters of this cartoon is a brown Great Dane. A cheerful, flippant, fearful, greedy talking dog named Scooby-Doo.
Scooby-Doo and Samy are the humorous side of this sinister atmosphere.
Scooby-Doo's characters have been redesigned. The characters have been brought alive; featured by Freddie Prinz Jr. (Shaggy), Sarah Michelle Gellar (Daphne), Linda Cardellini (Velma, who seems having lost weight after visiting my weight loss site), Matthew Lillard (Samy), and the computer technology for Scooby-Doo graphics.
Children and adults still love this cartoon.
Thirty years ago, themed birthday parties did not mean anything in my country but since ten years TV companies organize themed shows and their first guest is... Scooby Doo.

These two dogs made a very funny cartoon pair. They were bachelors and constantly traveled around. In the process they inadvertently had adventures and even misadventures with the results most probably being humorous all the time. Augie clearly was the cleverer of the two but would never tell that to his beloved old dad who clearly did not seem to guess that fact either.
Hong Kong Phooey
No one would have ever thought of an idea like this. What would you think of a kids cartoon show that combined Kung Fu with “Blacksploitation”? This is exactly what Hanna Barbera did in the 1970’s and look at what they came up with? Hong Kong Phooey was a super guy ranked number one who during the day worked as a janitor at a police station and whenever he saw any sing of trouble, would run into a filing cabinet and return as a dog in a guise and also knows Kung Fu. That was one fun cartoon…
Muttley
Muttley was a dog that never talked much. But as the sidekick of Dick Dastardly he seemed more intent on spoiling it all for his master rather than aiding him, and at the end, he would top it all with a signature snigger that rang on in the minds of kids for a long time…

I can't remember much about my very young life, but my own story really started at around about 14 weeks, when this very nice couple came to where I was living, looking for a puppy. 'Right', I thought... 'I'm going to make the most of this and hope that they take me home with them', so I snuggled in as tightly as I could and gave them a big wet kiss. That turned out to be a winning move on my part, because that's when my own story started for real and they took me home with them.
I was determined it would be a decision they would never regret and decided from that day on to be the best friend anyone could have asked for. When we arrived at the house, where my new 'Mom and Dad' lived. I felt a bit lost sitting on the kitchen floor all by myself, with no other puppies around to play with. But as the months went by I became more accustomed to the surroundings and started to enjoy my little life.
'This is the place for me' I thought 'There's plenty of open space to run around in, shadows to chase and even things with feathers on that fly away when you get near'.
I did have a few hiccups though, when it became time to learn how to walk on one of those lead thingies... I wasn't too keen at first! In fact I tried very hard not to give in, but as you can guess, I did!
As time passed, I had done everything from digging holes in the flowerbeds, helping with the 'unplanting' of flowers and just managing to avoid falling into the fishpond, I reckoned my new life was going to be great.
When I was about...mmm!, let me think about this...ohhh! I guess I must have been about 12 months old, everything in the house was being packed away in boxes. 'What's goin' on here?' I thought to myself 'Which box is mine?'. It turned out my own story was about to continue from a new home near the coast...
What a great place that was. So many places to have a good old romp amongst the heather, plus there was this place called 'the beach'. Wasn't too sure about it at first, as I got my feet wet, which was something that I didn't like at all (at first). But after going a few times, I began to realise that it wasn't such a bad place. I could run and run and not really get anywhere, but that didn't matter.
Then one day much to everyone's surprise, I decided to be brave and charged off into the water... Yippee!, I've got more than my feet wet now. 'Hey, this is fun' I thought 'I can actually swim'. I looked forward to being taken to the beach more and more as time passed.
However, after a couple of years everything was being packed in boxes again. Here we again, I thought, where are we off too this time? Didn't have long to wait. We moved to another house, but still near the sea.
I am nearly 6 years old now, (I think!) and I am sure I have been a constant source of amusement to 'Mom and Dad' I reckon they have got a file full of photos and lots of fond memories... so far that is!
So I reckon this year I deserve a dog birthday party with lots of dog birthday supplies. I can then invite all my doggie and human friends to my party and have some great fun!
Life has been very good for me, so a great big wet-nosed thank-you to my 'Mom and Dad' for picking me and taking me home with them that day. All I want to do now is to grow old with them, update my own story, from time to time and enjoy our lives together for many years to come...

If your child has been longing for a pet of the canine kind, birthday time could be the perfect time to teach responsible pet ownership and have a dog party! The best dog parties are ones with easily manageable sized guest lists. I would say two to three guests would be easily manageable. Be sure to check with parents to be certain the guests have no pet phobias or allergies, and get permission, before you plan your sleep over. Check with local animal shelters in your area, and plan a trip according to their policies.
Serve "puppy chow" PB & J sandwiches cut into bone shapes in doggie bowls, and show movies such as "Old Yeller" or "The Lady and the Tramp" and talk with the children about pet care and responsible pet ownership. The next morning, serve breakfast cereal in the 'doggie bowls' and round the crew up for a trip to the local animal shelter. Consider painting paw prints on chubby cheeks before you head out.
Take the children to the animal shelter, and enlist the aid of one of the volunteers or employees as they show the children the pets in the shelter. Be certain the representative from the animal shelter talks to the children about the pets, reinforcing responsible pet ownership to your child. Let the children look at the pets, taking care to maintain safety as your number one priority at all times. Finally, if your child has bonded with a particular pet, make arrangements with the shelter to come back and pick up the pet later.
Finally, take the party to the local pet supply shop, and allow the birthday boy or girl to purchase pet supplies at the store. Take the guests home, and go and pick up your newest addition to the family. This way, there is no tug of war over who gets to hold the puppy, and decisions are more likely to be based on good personality fits between your child and the new pet and less on peer influence.
Responsible pet ownership is a good lesson for all children. Your dog party is sure to help make pet ownership and the responsibility inherent in that a perfect fit for everyone.
