Good Party Ideas at the Holidays For dogs?
I want to throw a Party for some of the neighbors dogs (They treat their dogs like kids) and mine. Is there any good ideas? Their will be 8 to 10 dogs coming.
I would have someone dress up in a red suit with white whiskers and take pictures with each dog to give to my guest to take home to remember the event first i would make them each a doggie stocking maybe with a small affordable toy made for their breed size i would make some doggie cookies for like a buffet for treats also breed size cookies different ones and kinds i would arrange for some tricks and games with little prizes so everyone can participate together owners as well as their pet and everyone could hang out with play time and swap ideas and advice this sounds like a very fun time i wish i could go with my pet LOL i hope you have fun and all your guests sounds like a great idea HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YOU ALL!
oh ya don't forget to put out a few water bowls here and there
i thought of another thing you could print out a certificate of participation to give to the pets as a remembrance for their photo album maybe some ribbons as a prize for tricks and games the dollar store has them for a dollar or you could print them out

Really, all they care about is getting together and playing. Anything else is for the people.

Toys, presents, ONLY SERVE food that is doggie SAFE, you don’t want anyone (dog) getting into a dangerous food, during the party. I think it’s a great idea !! Maybe bake up some dog cookies, the recipes are so easy to get
Google. Or if you’re too busy to bake there are alot of Gourmet pet places now, even some pretty nice stuff at the reg pet stores. Maybe a nice thing to do, would be to ask the guests to bring items for your local shelter, ya know like a mini fund-raiser. ?The shelters usually have lists of what they are in need of most.

Have the dogs dress up in holiday attire and take pictures — even better is if you have someone dressed as Santa to join in the pictures!
Have a scavenger hunt — hide some dog treats either around your house or outside — depending on the amount of space and dogs. Give out a doggy toy prize for the first dog that finds a treat.
Have an obedience contest — see who is best at sitting, staying, etc. and offer a prize for the best behaved.
If outdoors and if you have a small kiddie pool, put some windup toys in it and let the dogs chase after them — this is something that my dog just loves to do.
Make human snacks with dog themes — I have cookie cutters that are shaped like different dog breeds, doghouse, dog bone.
Play music that has dog themes: "Who Let the Dogs Out"? "Ain’t Nothing But A Hound Dog"
Make a dog safe cake using a dog bone mold http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/601-7264692-6928100?asin=B000BFJYYW&AFID=Gifts.com&LNM=B000BFJYYW|Dog_Bone_Cake_Pan&ref=tgt_adv_XPND0030

You should just invite the dogs to go to a park.

Get a few frisbies. that way everyone can get involved. And most dogs like to play frisbie.
