i have a chihauha named daisy and shes turning 2 in a few days. i really want all of her birthdays to be special.but i have some questions. what should the theme be? what kind of food? what kind of games? what kind of goodie bags? what kind of music? and should they wear party hats? oh! i also need invitaions, what should the invitations say?
how nice, daisy is lucky to have you as an owner. but for the party, yes of course do party hats, shes only 2 shes a kid and kids need party hats on their birthdays! for the theme do clifford the big red dog. for food get canned dog food and put it on a fancy plate also bring tons of dog treats! for games just let them run outside and throw them like chew toys and stuff, also you can do a bone finding scavenger hunt lol. for the music get a cd just for dogs, usually they have them at petco or petsmart. and for the invitations, say you are invited to lucy's 2nd birthday party! so bring a present and bring an appetite beacuase we'll have food, drinks, games, music, goodie bags, and did i mention food? and then give them info about where it is and stuff. i hope this helped and wish lucy a happy birthday for me! GOOOOD LUCK! *abner*

Like people birthday parties, dog birthday parties can be as formal or as low-key as you want. You can choose a theme, send out invitations, put together goody bags, and dress your pup up. Here's more info:

i'm going to have a party for my pomeranian and i need some help with things. what are some good games (for the dogs)? should i invite people that don't have dogs? should there be cameras available? do dogs really like birthday parties? should the dogs wear party hats? thanks for your help!
We do this for my dogs every few years
They like them. I usually take pictures and yeah you can invite people who dont have dogs. I put party hats on mine and they were a little confused but really cute
I didnt keep them on but just for a few pictures.
I got some cookies from a dog barkery close to my house and they liked them too
Hope they have fun!

He is a Golden Retriever and is having his first birthday so I want to make it special. I was thinking of inviting other people and letting them bring their dogs too so they can play, but I want to know your input of the theme ideas, activities, food selection etc. By the way, does anyone have any healthy dog snack/cake recipes I can use for the party?
GET LOTS OF RETRIEVER TOYS for your puppy!!! My dog was ecstatic on his first birthday!
Doggy birthday cake = dry food ground up + wet food mixed in and then molded into a cake shape with dog bones as "candles". I swear, it works. Little expensive, but hey, I'm a dog nut.
Do invite other people and their dogs! It will be enjoyable for all!

Yes I am throwing my dog a bithday party. She is special in that she survived distemper and made it to her 1st birthday. Any fun ideas would be appreciated.
I never actully had one but I heard they make Dog cakes and icecream. Also a good idea for fun would be racing. Get a ball and roll it or throw it. Also making a "treat hunt". Put treats around your yard, invite some friends or neighbors with dogs and let the dogs look. To make it special for your dog, have dog soccer.

I was thinking games that would be dog themed like fetch of some type, just having a hard time getting it streamlined.
i should have specified it is a party for my child not my dog!
pin the tail on the "dog"
play a simon says like game where you tell them to sit, lay, roll over
have obstacle courses and see who can go through the fastest
have a race "they have dog races"
and have a cake in the shape of a dog treat!

I want to give my dog a birthday party..
She is a jack russell named Jackie, and she will be turning 7..
any ideas??
by the way she is my babygirl so she is like a human in many ways, she's a member of the family All of my friends and family are the same way.
so i want it to be special
The whole neighborhood threw a party for my dog when he turned one, and it was awesome. First off, get people together! Invite them, and then you'll be able to plan from there. For Zen's I made a Dog Birthday Cake, using a safe recipe I found on the internet, and a Human cake--German Chocolate (Just make sure the two don't cross!). We all gathered at the park, and someone brought Frosty Paws- which is ultimately dog ice cream. All the dogs got to run and play, eat their special cake, and we even had a frosty paws eating contest. (Our neighbor's dog ate it the fastest). Zen also got presents, and toys from everyone. It may sound crazy, but if your dog is your kid, it's going to be as fun, if not more fun then a child's birthday party.
