Poodle Birthday Party

In 2007 we rescued a litter of nine 10-day old Standard Poodle puppies. The owner turned them to a kill shelter. The pups were in foster home and then adopted to new loving homes. These pictures are from the puppies 1-year birthday party.

super bowl party food ideas?

so the gathering this year is at our place. we were planning on having burgers/hot dogs/sausage etc here and having our guests bring a dip or side or anything else if they wanted to bring something (not required). i am thinking that our burgers/dogs idea is kind of boring. any interesting ideas for a different "entree" type of thing? thanks!

Boneless BBQ chicken wings from WalMart. We will pre-order 10-15 pounds. They're delicious, and easy to serve and clean-up. Was a big hit for BCS Championship Game party. Go Buckeyes!!!!!!!! All the way in '08.

Greenies Tub Treat Pack, Large 27 oz. (17 Count)

Greenies Tub Treat Pack, Large 27 oz. (17 Count)

Greenies satisfy your dog's natural desire to chew. The consistency/ingredients have been shown to help reduce odors, control dental tartar (calculus), strengthen gums and diminish oral bacteria. Some chew products contain other inert materials which are not digestible. All ingredients in Greenies the original smart-treat are highly digestible and, except for the palatability enhancer, are used in human food products. Greenies prevent buildup of dental calculus, are exceptionally palatable, highly digestible and improve digestibility of other foods. Dental Calculus A leading dental research group found that giving dogs only one Greenies daily almost totally prevented dental calculus accumulation. On a scale of 0 for no calculus accumulation to 45 for heavy calculus buildup, the dogs given one Greenies daily scored an average of 3.3 compared to 26 when Greenies were not given. Statistically, this is a highly significant (<0.0001) decrease in calculus accumulation. Greenies dental attributes were developed primarily as a maintenance program for a dogs' teeth following cleaning by a veterinarian. Palatability A study conducted by a leading nationally-know, highly respected, independent third-party testing research kennel, proved that most dogs prefer Greenies. When given a choice, 70% of dogs in the study preferred Greenies to a leading commercial chew treat. All dogs - 100% - preferred Greenies to a leading rawhide chew treat. Digestibility The same nationally-know lab also found that in addition to Greenies being highly digestible, feeding Greenies with other foods actually increases digestibility of those foods. Their research showed a blend of just 10% Greenies and 90% dry food increases protein digestibility in the food from 78.1% to 85.5% - a 10% increase. Digestibility of fat, calories, dry matter also increased. This ensures that your pet obtains maximum nutrition from its diet; in fact, your dog can obtain the same level of nutrition from less dry dog food

My daughter is turning 6 and having party at animal shelter…in lieu of gifts we are acceping dog food..ideas?

We are having a fun party at the animal shelter that is in need of donations. I just need a fun saying for the invitation. I am drawing a blank!

Whata great idea and how sweet. I know we love our family dog so much.He is family.Ok, here's some thoughts for you.
Creative invitations can help build excitement before a party. If you have the time to make your own, here are some ideas to get you started:
Cut a dog bone shape out of white cardstock. Punch a hole in the top and attach a metal key ring. Write the party details on one side of the “dog tag” and mail to your guests.
Fold a sheet of paper in half to create a card-style invitation. Draw a large paw print on the front. Run a glue stick within the lines of the paw and toes and sprinkle white glitter on top. Write your party details on the inside.
Attach a card-style invitation to a small squeaky dog toy and hand-deliver your invitations or mail them in padded envelopes.
Cut the shape of a fire hydrant out of red construction paper and write the party details on one side.
Use creative wording for the party details, such as:

I'd maybe say such things as..
Come have a Dog gone good time
Have a happy dog day afternoon with us
Come! To [child’s name]'s Tail-Waggin Birthday Party!
Fetch! On Over to [location] at [party time]!
Play! Until [party end time]!
===============================

Let paw prints lead the way! Use sidewalk chalk to draw puppy prints on the driveway or sidewalk, or up the steps. Construction paper paw prints can be used indoors. You can also use dry erase markers to create paw prints on windows or mirrors.
Use a large cardboard box to create a "doghouse". Place it in front of your open door, and let your guests crawl through it to enter the party area.
Draw dog faces on white balloons with a black marker, attach construction paper ears, and place them around the party space in groups of five. Or, simply tie groups of five balloons throughout the party space, mixing any two colors. Choose from our large selection of dog-shaped balloons, colorful latex balloons, and balloon weights.
Use face paints to draw a doggie nose and whiskers on each child's face as they arrive. Tie a red bandana loosely around each child's neck, too.
Your child's own stuffed dogs will make great decorations. Set a group of toy dogs on the table as a centerpiece, or set groups of stuffed dogs in baskets around the party space.
Make large signs with sayings like “Wipe Your Paws”, “Puppy Crossing”, “Beware of Dogs”, “No Cats Allowed”, etc., and hang them on the doors and walls.
Play songs like “Puppy Love”, “Who Let the Dogs Out”, “How Much is That Doggy in the Window”, and “BINGO” as background music.
Cut white dog bones from construction paper to use as placemats for the table.
Dog Themed Food Ideas
Serve snacks, ice cream and cake to your guests in new, clean dog bowls. Use paint pens or permanent markers to personalize the bowls with each child's name.
Serve cookies or sandwiches cut with a dog bone cookie cutter. Brownies or crispy rice cereal treats can also be served this way.
Offer “Puppy Chow” made from cereal snack mix.
Make a few “Dog Food” labels for empty containers, and fill them with round children’s cereal, such as Cheerios or Fruit Loops.
Fill a bowl with graham cracker snacks in the shape of doggie bones, often sold as Scooby Snacks.
Hot dogs make great puppy party food!
Rename cupcakes “Pupcakes”, and decorate each with white icing and a paw print. To create a paw print, use one junior mint candy as the paw pad and four brown M&Ms as the toes.
Make a large paw print cake by using one round cake as the paw and four small cupcakes around the top half as the toes. When you serve the cake and sing “Happy Birthday”, let your guests bark between each verse (“Happy Birthday to you, WOOF…”).
Dog Party Favors
Thank your guests for attending your child's party with fun puppy party favors like small stuffed dogs, red bandanas, dog stickers, dog bone cookie cutters, dog-themed candy, small frisbees, coloring books, and "dog tags" made from our personalized bag tags or luggage tags.
Dog Party Games & Activities
It’s easy to modify traditional games to fit a dog party theme. Try "Fido Says" instead of Simon Says, "Hot Dog Bone" instead of Hot Potato, and "Musical Dog Beds" instead of Musical Chairs.

where can i find great ideas for dog themed party favors??

PARTY FAVORS

Doggie bags are easy to make when you take a brown lunch bag, fringe the top and cut ears, eyes, and muzzle out of colored construction paper. Draw mouth with a black marker and you're ready to fill with party favors.

Want to be a bit more innovative? Consider filling with some of the following: stickers, bone shaped cookies, personalized dog tags, ball, whistle, toy car, or some Puppy Chow.

Puppy Chow Recipe
1 Cup Chocolate Chips
8 Cups Chex Cereal
1 Cup Peanut Butter
4 Cups Powdered Sugar
1 Cube Butter or Margarine

Melt butter, chocolate chips, and peanut butter together. Pour over Chex cereal. Put mixture in paper bag, add powdered sugar and shake until covered. Delicious!

Ideas for my child’s puppy dog party!?

My little girl wants a puppy party for her 3rd birthday, any ideas at all would be appreciated! The party is in 2 weeks.

Ooh, how cute! I suggest puppy hats, plates, cups, pinata. Do you have a puppy, or know someone who does? Bring it over for a play, or really surprise her and get a puppy for her birthday! Although, she is only three. Perhaps a stuffy would do thr trick instead. Decorate the main party room with pictures of puppies and puppy collages. Play "Pin the tail on the puppy!" If your willing or you know someone who is, dress up as a puppy for your daughter and her friends! Have a puppy parade, and give everyone little puppy dog ears and tails! Get a puppy movie for them to watch. For party favours, little stuffed puppies, little toy plastic ones at your average dollar store, maybe little puppy piggy banks and things like that. Puppy bracelets and necklaces...the possibilites never end!

Sassy’s 15th Birthday Party

June 13th, 2009.

My dog Sassafrass Ann's (Sassy for short) 15th birthday party! I figured, hey, she's made it 15 long healthy years, she deserves a party!! That's me "helping her" open her gifts and such. We had so much fun and she got some great, yummy treats, and some fun toys, and a book for me called "Loving Your Senior Dog", which has some great info on helping keep your elderly dog healthy and happy! There were roughly 15 human guests and 7 doggie guests that attended, including the staff from her vet's office, Balsm Road Animal Hospital.

Thanks to those of you who came to show some love to my old girl!! It meant so much to us for you to be there to celebrate her special day!!

Invitations, decorations, plates, cups, party hats, paw-print balloons, and other items used at the party were gotten from Wal-Mart and two different websites online. If you wish to throw a pet party Google "dog birthday party supplies" and you get listings for lots of pet party websites. Change the word "dog" for the word "cat" if you prefer. There are some great sites out there that offer some fun and neat things for pet birthday parties! Check them out!

The 'Happy 15th Birthday' and the 'Scooby Doo' balloons from a local store called "The Home & Party Store".
Cake was special made in "Hoops & Yoyo" theme, with one of Sassy's puppy pictures in the center, by Bi-Lo grocery store.

The two pet party supply websites I used were: www.funstufffordogs.com and www.gooddogexpress.com
